Dairrien is a 13yo child with Shuermann’s Kyphosis (a spinal deformity). He has a 92 degree Kyphosis curve to his spine. Because of this he is have a spinal fusion surgery at Shriner’s Hospital on December 30th, 2009.
Natalie Meyer is trying to raise money to help with the expenses that will incur for Dairren’s Family during his surgery and will be at Shriner’s for about 2 weeks. They will need financial help with food, lodging, gas and other expenses. With the holidays and his surgery in the same week, this will be a financial hardship on his family.
Natalie Meyer is not asking for donations for this single home school mother of 5, including an autistic child in Redding California, but is offering ALL her commissions from any Amazon.com order placed from now to the surgery date.
Another way is to sign up for Ebates.com with using Natalie’s email (auntnat@gmail.com) to make your online purchases. If you do so, you will get back cash back on your purchases, but Natalie will receive a $5 bonus that will go directly to Dairren’s fund.
Right now they are 20th in line for the Ronald McDonald House and if the line doesn’t shorten before his surgery date in Sacramento, they will have have to stay in a hotel which is very pricey even with the hospital rate. Her financial needs are great, but we know God will provide their needs. The most important thing you can do for this family is to pray.
Thank you all!

Prayers to Win A Battle

Miss C was so blessed to be given a minivan last month. God is her Provider, and she knows how blessed she is to be His daughter.
Miss C is, right now, in need of selling her Suburban so that she can pay off the bank to save her credit. Please pray that God will send the right buyer to her so that she can get this taken care of.
Sisterlisa, who is Miss C interpreter, posted another prayer request at Apples of Gold for Miss C concerning her lawyer bill: Help Win a Battle
She said, “The bill is so high! We are praying for God to help provide.”
Thank you for your support of these precious families!
Prayers for Miss C

As you know, Miss C is the mom of two adorable little boys. She is also divorced from their father. She has been praying for him, and she is struggling right now with some court issues with him, and I know she wants the LORD’s will and will trust Him in it.
Please do two things for her:
#1: Pray for her at this time of need.
#2: Read her blog post about her concerns and prayer requests: LINK REMOVED
“I need your prayers that I will be steadfast and unwavering as I face mediation. I need your prayers that God’s will shall be done in our lives and that he will keep my boys in the palm of his hand. I am so thankful for the Lord because I’ve received so many attacks lately, BUT my heart feels such intense peace. I am so amazed because I should be panicking and upset right now, but I feel such ease and relaxation in the very depths of my heart. Thank you Lord.“
Thank you,
Prayer Requests: Skiing Accidents – 2 Different Families

My daughter, Amanda, received two separate prayer requests into her inbox from two different people last night within 30m, and both were skiing accidents. A 17yo daughter died, and a home schooling father of five died.
Here are some details:
The hs Dad:
“The dad, Doug, is a wonderful Christian man and loved his family so much–he took the two older kids out skiing today in Virginia. He was in an accident on the slopes and slammed into a wall and did not survive. It is heartbreaking news for the family–the kids of course were with him, and when he was rushed to the hospital they were kept at the lodge. Since this occurred in VA, by the time they got word to the rest of the family here and they arrived, it was many many hours before the two older knew anything.Anyway, please keep Sarah (who is also suffering from some health problems at this time) and the kiddos in your prayers. Hannah (11) and Taylor (9) were the ones with him at the time. I know Taylor, as the only boy in the family, was very close to his daddy and will take this especially hard. Also pray for the younger kids, Heidi (5), Charlotte (2), and Clara (just six weeks old).”
The 17yo daughter:
“At approximately 7:30 p.m. last night, Amanda was seen by some of the other teens as she was skiing down one of the slopes. The other teens were on a ski lift above her. The slopes closed at 8:00 p.m., and the teens were instructed to meet at the ski rental station to turn in their skis and load the bus. There were about six or seven teens who did not show up at 8:00 p.m. They eventually came in one by one, except for Amanda. Our folks began checking the restroom, the restaurant, and other areas to see if Amanda had come in earlier and was resting somewhere inside. They could not find her, so they filed a missing persons report at about 8:10 p.m. The ski patrol was immediately dispatched. At about 8:30 p.m., one of the patrols on his snowmobile found Amanda just off one of the trails. At that time, Amanda was still alive. They immediately loaded her in an ambulance and rushed her to the hospital. About two minutes before they reached the hospital, Amandaʼs heart stopped. The emergency personnel began working on her. They worked on her for about 45 minutes in the Emergency Room, but they were not able to revive her. The ER doctor came out of the ER at around 10:00 p.m. and let Brother Lapina and Brother Hasse know that she had passed away.”
Anyway, just wanted to share that with you and ask you to pray. I know the grief will never pass, and their lives have now been changed forever.
