Special Needs

We just were blessed to be able to spend the past few days with the Lirette family in our home. What a blessing to love on and be loved by this precious family. It was hard to see them go this morning!

While they were here, we were able to talk about so many things. The Father blessed our time with a Shabbat meal, times in the Word together, fellowship with fellow Believers and many special moments we will not soon forget. A few things that I want to share with you are some of their special needs they have. Before they left, a neighbor sharpened the blades on their tiller, and when they went to start it – and it always starts right up- it would not start. There seems to be a gas leak of some kind that they will need to have looked at. The Lirette’s garden not only provides them with a portion of their own food, but they always give their first harvest to the widows and elderly in their church.

Another need that I know of is for a sewing machine. We are currently working on their website, preparing to launch it for them as soon as possible to get their lovely handmade items out there for you to see. The only thing is that her sewing machine is on the fritz. I believe she has borrowed her daughter’s machine, but I am not sure that it is working either. Anyway, they would do well with several machines to get their handmade items made for their business.

I am not sure how Lizzie and Vicki home school exactly, but I know that soon the summer will be over and school will be in full swing. Any extra funds you can give to help them out with their curriculum and school supplies for their children would be of great help.

Lizzie is also in need of funds to pay her water bill, which is currently at $300. Her son, James, will be going to Bible camp, too, and she needs $140 to pay for his fee. He can earn $75 through doing things at church, and he’s working on that.
