God is My Provider

We have been so blessed to receive praise reports from the Moms here on Gleaning the Harvest. Mrs. Josephine Lirette sent a lovely email about what God and His People are doing on their behalf.

“God is using so many wonderful people to bless my girls and I. Just this past week, I had a $375.00 electric bill and I told the Lord that I didn’t have the money to pay it, that HE was going to have to send me the money to get it paid. A few days later, Jordan went to the mailbox and there was a card from a lady who lives out of state, (that I’ve never even met before) and in the card was a check for $350.00 and there was also a $100.00 check from one of our old pastors that live in La. Talk about get excited, God had sent more than enough to pay the electric bill.

Apples of Gold MinistriesThen yesterday, I found out that someone had paid my car insurance for January, so I called them to thank them and they told me to have my car insurance premium transferred to their home address, that they now want to pay my car insurance from now on for me. So, now all I have to worry about is paying my rent and my electric bill and gas for the car. How totally awesome My Father is.

I can not believe how God has just taken over our finances. It’s almost unbelievable what He’s doing for me and my girls, and you and your family have been a big part of what God is doing for us.

I honestly depended on Elgin to provide for us before he was killed. But, I’ve now had to “learn” that God is my provider. I’ve had to learn a LOT of lessons since Elgin was taken away from me and the girls, and I’ve had to learn that I need to give My Father praise for all that He’s done for us, even when I’m in a depressed state of mind. Which I am beginning to feel better, the holidays were extremely hard for me and I do thank God that they are over and I can hopefully begin to heal. I also wanted to let you know how dear your family is to mine, we love you dearly.
Josephine”

God is The Provider. Many times, He provides through his hands on earth, us. I am so thankful that Josephine is surrounded by believers who are serving the LORD in action in her life. May he bless each of these families in the same manner!

blessings,

Psalm 132

1Lord, remember David, and all his afflictions:  2How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;  3Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed.
4I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,  5Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.
6Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.  7We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.  8Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.  9Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy. 10For thy servant David’s sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.
11The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.  12If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.  13For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.  14This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.  15I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread. 16I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.  17There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.  18His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.

Isn’t He good to us? If we put our complete trust in Him, he will take care of us just like a mother cares for her only child. Lovin’ it!

I am crying! Praise the Lord for His provision!
Luke 6:38, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. ”

Psalm 37:25, “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. ”

God, you’re an awesome God! Thank you for helping Mrs. Lirette and her family!
