Barbara,
My heart goes out to you. I just shared with some single mom friends today, that I’m praying that the Lord would either bring a husband into my life or remove the desire I have to be married.
Your note reminds me that even being married isn’t always the answer.
Check out my blog and read back through it. There are many of us moms out there who are doing it alone. Each one has had to prayerfully find what works for them. http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/maggieraye
But first, maybe even more important, begin to pray that during the years time, the Lord will begin to stir your husbands heart toward his family and his children.
Our prayers will be that you don’t have to go through this — but if you do, know that you won’t be alone.
Seek counsel from your church family and rally their support behind you and your children as well.
Your are right on Maggie Raye. Well said.
http://www.singlehomeschoolingmommas.com
Beautifully said MaggieRaye! I have been very guilty of the same thing, although not through the church. I relied on other people, and not YHWH. I am learning better now.
Thanks for sharing what is in your heart. It is a blessing.
Hey Lizzie,
I’m not sure why it says 0. I just emailed GTH/Jacque to find out what happened. We actually have received gifts totalling $172 thus far. It’s hard to be patient and wait on the Lord’s timing. There are many good lessons being learned through this process for both mother and daughter. I’m sure my son is learning some through observation, as well.
Blessings, MaggieRaye

Yahveh bless and keep you and give you his Shalom.
Hey:) Why does this say zero? I came to check how much she had and it’s a 0;0!
I know she has some towards it:)
Help! my husband has informed me that he is giving me one year, and then he is gone. I home school my two children…a 15 and 13 year old. I know somehow that this is a real threat I just don’t know what to do about it. I have been a stay at home Mom, which is part of the problem he has with me. I have no college to speak of and have recently signed on for two classes…but I’m wondering if that is truly the way to go. I need advice. I think I need to work, but do not know how to figure this one out…The kids have activities Monday, Tuesday night, Wednesday church, and Friday Church. I waitressed but it took everything out of me…I do not know if i can do this again.
Fabulous! I am writing these down.
Kristi,
Praise the Lord that I found this site today. I am praying for you to have faith that our Father, God Almighty can do all He has promised you the day you received your divorce papers. I know this because He restored my marriage (my husband was gone for 5 yrs. 2 months and 7 days) God has completely changed my man’s heart. He freed him from the addiction of smoking and has tempered his temper. We go to Bible Study together, discuss our prayers and desires…something that never happened before. He is a loving daddy now, and enjoys seeing our children grow and develop. In July 2010, we are expecting our first grandchild!
Do not give up hope Kristi! Every person I knew, family and friends, told me to forget about my husband and move on with my life and the lives of our four children…..Thanks be to God that He helped me to hold onto Him, He was my husband and cover till my earthly husband returned.
Thankful & Blessed to be,
Mrs. Michelle McDaniel

Thank you, Michelle. Another message sent just when I needed it most! I am grateful for your testimony. I can’t tell you how much it means to me.
Hello,
My name is Diane, I am a single mom of two. I am a christian woman who strongly believes in Homeschooling and being a homemaker and I have researched it for many years and have viewed website after website about all the different methods and collecting many ideas. I love to do that. I used to home school my youngest daughter, but circumstances and divorce has forced me to work. The Lord has blessed me with a grant and a scholarship to put my daughter in a private Christian School and that is where she has been for several years. We have discussed many times bringing her back home to do a curriculum over the internet and I would add my own idea to it. Teaching her how to be a good keeper of the home. My heart is truly a homeschool mom, I would even like to homeschool my two grandchildren who are in public, but don’t know how I would support myself. I have looked for work in the home to no avail or just doesn’t pay enough. I can totally relate to the story of
MaggieRaye, the web is full of work at home programs but many are scams, overrated or way too expensive and not in my field. I have been searching for a along time. Is now that some woman are making money by blogging or on twitter, I don’t understand all of this or how they do it. I have always wanted to write for the homeschool community, like in newsletters or in a form of magazine, ezine. I love reading them too. I even thought about creating curriculum for Preschoolers as I am an Early Childhood Educator by profession.
I am only doing part time work right now and seriously looking for work at home projects. I would love to bring my daughter back home if we can work it out and I would even love to homeschool someone else’s child who couldn’t. If anyone here could give me suggestions or even lead me in the right direction as to what other single moms are doing at home, I would so appreciate that. I would love to start a blog too and teach my teenage daughter how to also. I also wanted to know is there a way or do you know of a way that young homeschool girls of the same beliefs and learning to be a keeper of the home can connect and become friends, How would I get my daughter started in sharing with other young girls even if they live far apart? My daughter is 15, loves to read and write, photography, scrap booking, animals, wedding planning, sewing, and doing things on the computer. She wants to be a Wedding/party Planner in the future and do something with Photography. She would love to meet other young girls in the homeschool community. Thank you for hearing me out.
Thank you for all that you do to help single families. Many blessings to you
Diane.

Diane,
For as many single moms as there are out there homeschooling, each has found a different way to do it from home. I know one mom who is an editor, another is a web designer, another sells on eBay. My first suggestion is take it before the Lord and commit it to Him. Trust in His provision. Step out on faith as Peter stepped out of the boat, and don’t look around or you will start to sink. I will try, soon to post a set of links to blogs by other homeschooling single mothers. In the mean time please stop by my blog and see what you may find for encouragment there.

Hi Mrs. Davis,
I just wanted to let you know that you and your family are in my prayers! The Lord is ever faithful and knows every need you have. He doesn’t let those who trust in Him down. Ever! I know that it must be emotionally, physically and spiritually hard raising eight children as a single parent. But those who trust in Him are never alone. He never leaves us or forsakes us. I encourage you to keep leaning on Him, following His will and believing in His generous provision. He is a God who answers our “kneemail”! Praying for your endurance, strength, provision, patience, marriage restoration and joy. May the Lord Jesus bestow all those and more upon you, your husband and your children. Many blessings in His name! Please stay encouraged!

Exciting stuff!
I didn’t recognize all of yours! Are you able to put a link there that goes straight to the voting page?

I hear you! Praying for you today….
I understand , I really do and wish peace for you.
Thanks for the welcome and the prayers.
Hi,
I appreciate what you are doing for single moms and their families. My husband walked out on our family in 1992 and left me with 5 children 8 years-7 months old to raise alone. My Heavenly Husband has provided in so many ways over the years. I continued to homeschool(since 1989) and the “baby” graduates in May, 2010. I have been a homebased business owner for 17 years. May I suggest some articles on starting a home based business or how to help a single mom start a business, on your web site.
I wish that there would have been something like your ministry available back in the early 90’s. I applaud your work.
